SUMMER MAGIC CAMP--AUGUST 15 – 19, 2011
Get creative this summer creating your own stage show and movie! Our campers participate in a truly unique experience – where else can you write songs, create characters, produce short films, then present them all together in a fully staged multimedia musical show? This one-week special camp for grades K-5 is led by Afterschool favorites Stephen Jacobs (“Create a Play” and “Rap, Rock ‘n’ Roll”) and Jill Ahrold (“Shining Star Musical Theatre” and “I Make iMovies”), whose filmmaking holiday camp sessions are consistently wait listed.
In addition to enjoying creative fun in music, theatre, and film, children spend time outdoors every day, exploring nearby parks, enjoying water play in our playground, and joining in sports and cooperative games designed to encourage team spirit. Click here to download the registration form.
KINDERCAMP--AUGUST 22-26, 2011
Kindercamp is a one-week program in late August specifically designed for incoming PS87 kindergartners to help them get to know PS87 before their busy first day of school.
Children have the opportunity to meet the staff, explore the layout of the school, and make friends with fellow kindergartners while getting a jumpstart on their PS87 experience. KinderCampers all receive a unique PS87 backpack to wear proudly on their first day of school!

BACK TO SCHOOL FUN WEEK--SEPTEMBER 7-9, 2011
School starts Wednesday, September 7, and as in the past the Afterschool will offer a Back to School Fun Week program the week before the official opening of the Fall Afterschool sessions. Children will have a unique opportunity to sample Afterschool clubs that will be offered in the upcoming year. (Regular Afterschool hours apply.)
WINTER HOLIDAY CAMP--FEBRUARY 20-24, 2012
Campers enjoy engaging activities and exciting citywide field trips each day of 87Afterschool’s Holiday Camp, with special theme days like “Sports Spectacular” and “Film & TV Day.” Campers participate in morning activities related to the day’s theme, and in the afternoon enjoy unique field trips that extend the fun. SPRING HOLIDAY CAMP--APRIL 9-13, 2012
Everything's coming up roses at Spring Holiday Camp, where we celebrate the onset of Spring with exciting field trips to shake off the winter doldrums, observe the science and art of nature, and awaken our creativity through activities at PS 87. Sign up for single days or the whole week.
