The ORIGINAL FILM will be conceptualized, scripted and put through all of the steps of a professional production by the students themselves. Filmmakers will learn scripting techniques, acting and camera exercises, and special effects that pertain to the movie they make.

The Shooting Stars Film program is award-winning, taking honors at the Tribeca Film Festival and San Obispo International Film Festival.

Teaching-Artist: Jill Ahrold is a veteran children’s film director with over a decade’s experience making films, both in New York City and Honolulu, Hawaii. Jill is the Artistic Director of Imagine Me, a theater, media and film education organization for kids. Jill professionally has the admiration of Christopher Guest (director and writer of Mighty Wind, Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman) and Henry Winkler (TV's "the Fonz" from Happy Days) for her “improvisational script creation” and child-inclusive filming techniques that she employs in her film and media classes.http://www.imagineme.org/News%20%26%20Events/B87550B1-833E-433C-8489-3AB670AC5831.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0
