87 Afterschool, Inc. is a program offering afterschool activities in the form of clubs, which meet once a week for the entire Fall/Spring term. The program operates on the premises of PS 87; a few clubs travel off-site but leave from and return to PS 87. Club size is usually 15 students per club, with some exceptions.
Program hours are from 2:40 p.m. (school dismissal) until 6:00 p.m. Clubs are in session from 3:30–5:00 p.m. Children may be picked up anytime from 5:00–6:00 p.m.
Emergency drop-in coverage is available to current registered Afterschool families on a space-available basis. The drop-in fee is $50 per day, payable at pickup. Choice of club is at the discretion of the Afterschool program. Advance notice must be given via email to 87 Afterschool ONLY. It is the family's responsibility to send written notice to the child's teacher that the child is going to Afterschool that day.
87 Afterschool program tuition and fees may be an eligible expense through your dependent care spending program.

If you have concerns or questions once a class has begun regarding curriculum, please contact 87 Afterschool directly at info@87Afterschool.org. Do not contact any outside vendor we may have contracted with to provide instruction/services.
Any emails and voicemails sent after 2:00 p.m. on Friday, weekends, school closures, and holidays will be answered the next business day. During the summer, emails will be answered once a week.
